Looking at my previous post, I was amazed by myself again, that I still do remember the password :)

Time really flies... when in hindsight.
Little did we know, the young undergraduates turn 25 this year.
And we are both entering the workforce soon.

It's indeed a love-hate relationship.
The end of a care-free university life.
The end of a poor undergraduate living on allowance.
The start of dreadful work weeks.
The start of another opportunitist phrase of life.
The 2 sides of a coin to every picture.
A matter of perspective.

I choose to believe that there only one way out.
It's the way ahead.
Still, many years later, moving forward is the only way to go.
Where else can we head to?
The past is no place for us.
The present is our point of influence.
And the future is what we can create.

So, do what you want. Whatever you want.
And be prepared to face the consequences.
Whatever consequences.

I'm amazed at times.
At how much I've changed.
At how much I've not changed.
At the same time.
It's just amazing.
---

We make decisions all day long.
And sometimes we are tempted by our environment.
By people around us.
By things that happen.
To make decisions that ain't sound.
Out of the blue, unexpectably.
Irrationally, potentially.
I've more to learn. Much more room to grow.

- I promise - is already my 7 year-long nick.
And yet, its relevance never fail to stay on.
Its learning points, endlessly, never fail to point out to me.
That, it's just the start for me.
I've a long way to go.

Hm.

Exams are finally over.

Not expectionally well this semester, but it has never been exceptional. Hahas.

There's alot catching up to do, catching up in life.

Laziness is my bane, I really think I need a mental makeover.

Always breaking my own promise made to myself...

If I am capable of hating myself, I must have wished that I could be dead. Lol.

Been reading alot these days.

I am concurrently reading a book by Robert HagStrom "The Warren Buffett way" as well as a book co-written by Donald Trump and Robert Kiyosaki "Why we want you to be rich".

I read today, from the Warren Buffett way, something that I may take away and keep it for a long time (or at least I ought to). Hahas.

How do we see if a business is worth our time, worth our investment:
(extracted from the book)

Business:
1) Is the business simple and understandable?
2) Does the business have a consistent operating history?
3) Does the business have favorable long-term prospects?

Management:
4) Is management rational?
5) Is management candid with its shareholders?
6) Does management resist the institutional imperative?

Financial Standings:
7) What is the return on equity?
8) What are the company's "owner earnings"?
9) What are the profit margins?
10) Has the company created at least one dollar of market value for every dollar retained?

Value:
11) What is the value of the company?
12) Can it be purchased at a significant discount to its value?

--------------
Ok :) I guess there isn't much readers since the blog was sooooo dead! Hahas.

Woot.

After a long of not blogging, I impressed myself by still remembering my blog password! How amazing.

Time really flies. A wink of an eye and its already towards the end of 2010.
A quick look at what I have done for the year, was disappointing.
What did I accomplished in 2010? Relatively nothing.

But that shall not deter me from moving ahead...
I will continue to invest in myself...
Learn to grow...
Develop my potential...

:) And probably, continue to blog.

Love,
James

Wow.

Seems like our blog got kinda deserted.

Meow, do help out in updating as well! Hahas.
So much for complaining about the dead blog!

Anyway, lotas have changed since last posted.
Not that I became more glamorous or so though.

Biggest event since last post:
Pei wen and Wei wen's wedding!

WOW. Actually, I was really surprised with the wedding invitation.
Of course, for the moment when I was told. (But not for long!)

Hahas. Best wishes =)

I've just started on my E-trading account with DMG today.
Hopefully, something good will come out from there.

Any potential investors? Invest in me. Lol.

This summer has been... pretty hectic one.

Started working full-time as a Financial Consultant @ Prudential.
Don't know whether it was a right choice or not,
But nonetheless, there are skills that are valuable to have.

CCA and 2 Camps are draining away my time...

And Summer is actually coming to an end where it's the most packed. =(

Rather weary already... Haven't sleep well for 2 weeks and it doesn't seem like it's going to change for the better...

Then again...

You remind me of the happy times I have =)
For everything that drains me,
For everything that challenges me,
For everything that pulls me down,
I think they are secondary. :P

THE Zodiacal Sign of Virgo commences on August 21st, but for seven days it does not come into its full power until on or about August 29th. From this date onwards it is in full strength until September 20th, and is then for seven days gradually losing its strength on account of becoming overlapped by the "cusp" of the incoming sign - Libra.

The emblem of Virgo, a virgin holding sheaves of wheat in her hands symbolizes wisdom, garnered in the fields of experience. Like the true virgin, most Virgos are shy and, like a virgin tend to wait to give herself to the perfect lover, Virgo is also idealistic.

With a Mercury as the ruling planet, people born under this sign are quick thinking and observant. They define pure modesty; they can't bear to be taken care of, they prefer to take care of others.

People who were born in this period are as a rule generally successful in life. They have keen, good intellects, are very discriminating about those with whom they associate, and in all business matters they have good judgment, and are not easily imposed upon or deceived.

They are usually materialistic in their views of life, and analyze and reason everything from their own way of thinking outwards. These people are and attracted to only that knowledge that can be applied usefully. They will happily share this information with anyone, if it confirms their own usefulness in the world, and brings them eagerly out of there shells.

These people can become good literary critics, being quick to see the weak points. They are extremely fond of harmony in their surroundings, have excellent taste about their house and dress, and always want things in good taste, and elegant.

Virgos are usually fastidious about their personal appearance, have a great respect for rank and position, and are great supporters of the law and the law's decisions. They usually develop this skill to improve themselves and their surroundings as they place great pride in tangible achievements. These people may spend part of their lives heading off on detours and then suddenly emerge as someone with a remarkable sense of direction. They can adjust easily to change once they find a way of fitting the new situation into their routine.

They are inclined to become wrapped up in themselves and their own ideas, and often become selfish in the close pursuit of their aims.

These people are more capable of going to extremes in good and evil than any other type.

If they develop a love for money they will stick at nothing to acquire it, and this type is often considered cunning and crafty at the expense of others.

In love they are the most difficult to understand, the very best and the very worst of men and women being born in this part of the year. To people born under this sign love is not dramatic, emotional, or sentimental. Love for them is devotion and will include love of family, friends, and those less fortunate than he or she. There is no pretense involved in how they act or what they say. Marriage is a major commitment; they value their union as both a love relationship and a working partnership. A warm relationship brings out the best in anyone born under this sign because basically they are kind, devoted and very loyal.

Disappointment, however, can harden them into a cynic and a skeptic. Virgos consequently become quite critical with themselves as well as with circumstances, due to the effect of such disappointments on a sensitive and discriminating nature.

- Twisted Destiny -

It was a dream,
Against reality.
There I stood,
in virtuality.

It was impossible.
A fact I truly knew.
Foolishly, I struggled on,
Pursuing a goal beyond.

Yes, the naive me,
Misery left me alone.
Wounds that never heal,
Scars that always stay.

Eventually,
It dawned upon me.
Emptiness engulfed me,
Absolutely, defeated me.

The unforgettable,
The truth within me,
The hidden pain,
And my shattered heart.

I'll still carry on,
For I love you,
Not for a moment,
But for an eternity,
Until the end of time.

For which I promised,
I'll still, be there for you.
